Washington D.C. STD Rate Highest in the Nation
CNS News highlights a new report from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) which finds Washington D.C. is the Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) capital of the nation.
Washington, D.C., had the dubious distinction of beating all 50 states to post the highest rates in the nation for the sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) Chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis, according to a new report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta.
The District of Columbia had a Chlamydia rate of 1,177 cases per 100,000 people–almost three times the rate of its neighbors, Virginia (405) and Maryland (439).
Mississippi was a distant second, at 728 cases per 100,000 people.
When D.C.–which is sandwiched between Maryland and Virginia–has a much higher rate than those neighboring states, you can’t say it’s something in the water.
Who essentially runs the District of Columbia? Congress. Washington D.C. is a federal district under the jurisdiction of the United States Congress.
While the state governments of Mississippi, California and other states may have a great degree blame for high STD rates in their states, who has a great degree of blame for D.C.’s # 1 spot?
The United States Congress.
The United States Congress is currently attempting to force unconstitutional programs like the cap and trade global warming tax, and government health care, on the entire country.
With this kind of brilliant management of morality and public health, are you really eager to have this bunch of buffoons running your health care system?
