Senate Health Care Bill Now Available Online
The socialists in the U.S. Senate have finally released their version of the government takeover of health care, giving we the unwashed a few hours to read it over.
You can peruse the light reading of the 2,000+ assault on the American way here.
It would seem, as they usually do, the socialists want to ram this thing through quickly before everyone can find out all the garbage they’ve put in it.
From The Hill:
The Senate is headed for a rare Saturday vote to advance its major healthcare reform bill without a guarantee of success, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) indicated Thursday.
At a rally with supporters of the healthcare reform bill, Reid would not say he had secured commitments from all 60 members of the Democratic Conference to vote for the legislation — an absolute necessity given unanimous opposition from the 40 Senate Republicans.
While he may not be completely certain, he is definitely optimistic or he wouldn’t be calling for a vote soon.
Though this thing is bigger than a Stephen King novel, we do know that it contains taxpayer-funded abortion, and that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi likes that. If this thing passes the Senate, the prohibitions put into the House bill at the last minute to prohibit taxpayer-funded abortion will almost certainly not survive reconciliation between the two chambers of congress.
In typical socialist fashion, it pays doctors less for performing Medicaid services…but won’t allow doctors to reduce services. In other words, do the work same for less. Can you see more doctors leaving the field?
It also contains the so-called “public option” which is nothing more than a Trojan horse to facilitate the full government takeover of the health care industry. Private companies will never be able to compete against a government that can operate without a profit, tax the American people more to cover it, or simply go deeper into the ocean of red we’re already swimming in–or all three.
If you find something interesting, Fox News is asking you to drop them a line. Apparently they plan to compile all the poison in this pill.
Unfortunately Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) has backed off his promise to have the entire monstrosity read on the Senate floor before it’s voted on.
Now is the time to crank up those phone calls and emails. We need to let these guys know their re-election is on the line, and we won’t stand for another massive assault on the Constitution and our freedom like this bill.
