“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!” – Samuel Adams

Americans Overwhelmingly Oppose Insurance Mandate

Americans Overwhelmingly Oppose Insurance Mandate

According to an AP poll at Breitbart.com, a plurality of Americans are opposed to the socialist takeover of health care being pushed in congress, and even more are opposed to government health insurance mandates.

Is ‘Good’ Good Enough When It Comes to the Truth?

Is 'Good' Good Enough When It Comes to the Truth?

Is it accurate that as long as I’m better than the worst examples of human beings, I’m alright. In other words, as long as I don’t torture puppies and murder people, God’s “down with that” and has to let me into Heaven when I die?

Happiness: A Personal Pursuit, Not a Government Mandate

Happiness: A Personal Pursuit, Not a Government Mandate

American Ideals of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are not unattainable, impractical things. They are the essence of the American Dream. Protecting life, defending liberty, and pursuing happiness built America. These things will revive America.

It’s Never Too Early to be Too Late

It’s Never Too Early to be Too Late

Are we going to stand complicit in our silence as wars without limit fought by people who proudly proclaim they love death more than we love life shoot our unarmed citizens in the name of God? Will we allow apologists for evil to blame the second amendment instead of telling us the truth? It’s time to rise up and say enough is enough!

Trouble in Green Paradise: Wind Farm Scams

Trouble in Green Paradise: Wind Farm Scams

We are frequently told it is the fossil fuel industry that is full of greed. So is the “green” energy industry a paragon of virtue and altruism? The arrests of wind farm millionaires in Europe–who have ties to wind energy in the United States–for taxpayer funded fraud seems to tell another story.

Speaking of Seniors – Medicare Failed Immigrant

Speaking of Seniors - Medicare Failed Immigrant

If Obama and his allies in Congress impose a national health care system that is modeled on Medicare, then everyone will start having wrongful medical bill problems. If you think that health care is expensive now, just wait until the government makes it “free.”

NY Times: Copenhagen Climate Deal on Hold

NY Times: Copenhagen Climate Deal on Hold

The New York Times is reporting that world leaders have decided to put off the intended climate change treaty scheduled for Copenhagen next month. Unless this is just a maneuver to get us to drop our guard, we’ve dodged a deadly bullet…for the moment.

Finding God in 60 Days

Finding God in 60 Days

You probably won’t want to play this in your Sunday School class or for Sunday night church, and probably not even at your small-group Bible study, but some slightly irreverent parts aside, this is funny and insightful in many ways. How to find God in 60 Days (or your meaningless existence back).

“Swine Flu” revisited

1976 was the year of the U.S. Bicentennial. 1976 was a presidential election year. 1976 was two years after Watergate caused Nixon’s resignation, and one year after the fall of Saigon. The U.S. government, both Republicans and Democrats, had never been held in such low esteem. Practically every elected official felt an overwhelming itch that patriotic year to do something to get the public thinking of them as good guys again. A swine flu pandemic was an opportunity on a plate. What better way to get into the good graces of the voters than to save them from a plague?

Can we trust the CDC?

Can we trust the CDC?

In a press conference this week representatives of the Centers for Disease Control revealed estimates of the extent of the H1N1 Influenza pandemic that increased by several orders of magnitude from previous estimates. Can we rely on the accuracy of this information?

President Obama Again Bows to a Foreign King

President Obama Again Bows to a Foreign King

Several months ago, President Barack Obama bowed and scraped before the king of Saudi Arabia. How he’s at it again, bowing before the emperor of Japan.

Without Life, No Rights

Without Life, No Rights

What abortion advocates ignore is that unless we first preserve the right to life, all other rights are meaningless. Rights mean nothing to a corpse.

Speaking of Seniors: Saving $2,568

Speaking of Seniors: Saving $2,568

Medicare and its myriad of problems should demonstrate that we shouldn’t trust the federal government with health care. That system’s problems will be multiplied exponentially if congress forces a government health care system on Americans.

Abortion and health care

Abortion and health care

We won’t get health care right if we think we can do it without thinking about life itself. Science is our tool, not our master. As we sit at the brink of health care socialism, it’s a good time to recall Jefferson’s words that “God who gave us life gave us liberty.”

‘Gay’ Jihad

'Gay' Jihad

In the wake of the horrific act of Islamic domestic terrorism at Fort Hood Texas, it’s been learned that militant homosexual activists recently made similar online postings to those of Nidal Malik Hasan, threatening additional acts of terrorism against Christians.

Orwellian Carbon Allowances on the Horizon

Orwellian Carbon Allowances on the Horizon

Next on the environmental extremist horizon: “carbon allowance” cards that you must produce anytime you purchase goods or services that “contributes to your carbon footprint.” Are you really willing to submit to this kind of meddling and government control over every aspect of your personal life? And to do so to combat a problem that doesn’t even exist in the first place?

How ‘Comparative Effectiveness’ Can Cost You Your Life

How 'Comparative Effectiveness' Can Cost You Your Life

The phrase “Comparative Effectiveness” is becoming increasingly in vogue among Obama health care advocates. So, it’s important to note that it actually amounts to little more than a euphemism for health care rationing.

Big Whoop on Ft Hood Terrorist's Condition

Church Rejects Woman Who Decides to Obey God

Church Rejects Woman Who Decides to Obey God

When Abby Johnson worked at Planned Parenthood, she was warmly welcomed in her apostate church. But now that she has recognized the reality of human life in the womb and become pro-life, her church is turning a cold shoulder. Tough times lie ahead at Judgement Day for Christians who applaud sin and despise good behavior.

Stupak Amendment Prohibiting Health Care Abortion Coverage May Not Hold

Stupak Amendment Prohibiting Health Care Abortion Coverage May Not Hold

Celebration over the Stupak amendment in the House health care bill was cut short this week as pro-life supporters fear the language could be removed. Abortion rights supporters, including House lawmakers, have threatened to pull their support from the health care bill if language such as the Stupak amendment remains in the final version. The Stupak amendment, introduced by Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.), bars the use of federal funding for “any health plan [public or private] that includes coverage of abortion,” except in the cases of rape, incest or to save the woman’s life.

D.C. Committee Passes Counterfeit Marriage Bill

D.C. Committee Passes Counterfeit Marriage Bill

A D.C. Council Committee passed a bill Tuesday that would legalize same-sex marriage in the federal district while also providing an exemption for religious groups. The Catholic Archdiocese of Washington said that while the bill exempts religious organizations from performing and providing space for same-sex marriages, it requires them to adhere to city laws prohibiting discrimination against gay men and women. Among the changes the archdiocese fears will be possible under the bill is the forced extension of employee benefits to same-sex married couples.

Survivor of Socialism Has Warning for America

Survivor of Socialism Has Warning for America

Kitty Werthmann survived seven years under Nazi rule in Austria and the difficult years after World War II before coming to the United States in 1950. She sees many parallels between how the Austrians lost their freedom, and many of the disturbing trends in the United States recently. She gave a speech in Rapid City outlining her concerns.
