When Feds Find a Program that Works, They Kill It

If you’re a big government liberal, what do you do when you discover a government program that’s actually working (even if not to it’s fullest potetial)? You get rid of it, of course!

The video below shows a report from Lou Dobbs Tonight on E-Verify, the electronic verification system set up for businesses to verify the legal status of prospective employees. It was designed to help businesses identify illegal aliens and keep them out of the nation’s workforce.

It isn’t perfect, but it has been doing a considerably better job than most federal programs, so of course liberals want to shut it down.  It’s up for funding re-authorization, and liberals are ready to ax it.

We try to hold employers accountable for not knowingly hiring illegal aliens, and we should.  E-Verify is a key component in that accountability.

And since the federal government is willfully derelict in its duty to lock down our borders, hunt down illegal aliens and deport them, getting rid of E-Verify leaves little remaining in the way of dealing with the millions of illegals within our borders.

These liberals have no will to protect our country and uphold our laws.

We the people, therefore, should have no will to return them to office when they’re up for re-election next. It’s time to make way for elected officials who take seriously their oath to protect and serve America.
