Rush Limbaugh on the Today Show

Rush Limbaugh
Jamie Gangel interviewed radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh on the Today Show and the first part of the interview aired this morning.
They talked about whether Limbaugh was actually, as some liberals claim, the “head of the Republican Party.”
Shown were some video clips of the Rush Limbaugh show from his Rush 24/7 feed.
Personal details were also discussed, including his divorces, his former addiction to prescription medication, and his hearing loss.
Nevertheless, Limbaugh says every year is better than the one before. On that note, Gangel took viewers on a quick stroll down Rush Limbaugh history from childhood to when he hit it big in radio.
When pressed, Limbaugh had great difficulty thinking of something good President Barack Obama has done. He did, however, compliment Obama on his voice. Limbaugh said he sounds very good when reading from a teleprompter.
Of course, the tired old charges of racism came up (even though black Americans like Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Ken “The Hutch” Hutcherson, Judge Clarence Thomas and more are among his friends). Gangel played the “Barack the Magic Negro” parody song, the one inspired by a LA Times columnist’s use of the phrase.
Limbaugh had some more fun with her; when she asked him if he was a racist, Limbaugh said, “No, are you?”
Limbaugh doesn’t worship and lay offerings at the altar of political correctness, so this charge continually comes up.
Another installment of this interview will come tomorrow on the Today Show.
