Poll: Belief in Man-Made Global Warming Still Dropping

j0234333According to the Pew poll, the number of people who believe there is solid evidence of global warming (of any kind, natural or man-made) is down from 71% a year and a half ago to 57% this month.  That is a huge drop, especially considering the “mainstream” media and the socialists in our government haven’t slowed down in the slightest in their propaganda campaign.

According to the same poll, the percentage of Americans who believe any global warming is anthropogenic (man-made) has dropped from 47% to 36%.  Bad news for Al Gore.

The poll shows believe in this fantasy dropping even among Democrats, who are the most likely to believe this nonsense.

This has been a continuing trend for some time.  The more people learn about this silly theory that doesn’t even pass the smell-test of credibility, the less they believe it.

Earlier this year in January, a Rasmussen poll found 44% believed natural planetary trends were responsible for any warming, with only 41% blaming it on human activity.

That same month, a Pew poll reported in CNS News found global warming dead-last on a list of 20 top priorities for 2009.

After all the hysteria and widespread intimidation on this issue just a few years ago, it’s good to see that people have finally been taking a look at the issue…and finding it sorely wanting.

It’s no wonder people aren’t buying this once they take a real look at it.  Consider these fundamental problems with the assumptions surrounding AGW:

If Greenland was warm enough 1,000 years ago (when there were no SUVs or power plants) to be colonized by the Vikings and sustain vineyards, then the current state of the climate (when most of Greenland is covered by ice) cannot rationally be blamed on human activity.

If temperature data going back hundreds of years (long before there were SUVs driven by evilcapitalists) tracks with solar activity (and it does) including colder and warmer periods, then the current global temperatures cannot rationally be blamed on human activity.

If NASA data agrees with other data that solar activity is cyclic and corresponds to global temperature (and it does), then the current global temperatures cannot rationally be blamed on human activity.

When we see solar activity diminish, and we see global temperatures level off correspondingly (while human industrial activity has not diminished), then recent global warming cannot be rationally blamed on human activity.

If historical examination of the Peruvian ice cap shows higher global temperatures in the past (when there were no SUVs and coal-burning power plants), then the current global temperatures cannot rationally be blamed on human activity.

If other planets like Mars and Jupiter (where there are no evil capitalist-driven SUVs and coal-burning power plants) are warming, too (and they are), then current global temperatures on earth cannot be rationally blamed on human activity.

Even the claims of Gore and other earth-worshippers that there is “consensus” and this is “settled science” are a farce, with thousands of scientists refusing to drink the Koolaid and scientific organizations around the world declaring the emperor has no clothes, blowing claims of “consensus” completely out of the water.

In other words, if we open our eyes and take a look around us and at history, and we see global temperatures and temperature changes in the past that obviously had nothing to do with human industrial activity (because there was no industrial activity), it quickly becomes apparent that the theory of anthropogenic global warming is ludicrous in the extreme.

Things will undoubtedly be even worse for the earth-worshipping socialists after many people see the documentary “Not Evil, Just Wrong” debunking Gore’s crazy theory.

Citizens for Liberty is holding a showing of the film at the Elks Theater in Rapid City on October 28.  There will also be public showings in Spearfish at the First Baptist Church, 1120 N 5th Street on November 7 at 6:00 pm, and one is being planned for Belle Fourche soon also (details TBD).

I consider myself a global warming skeptic but your point on greenland and the vikings is wrong.
greenland did have ice during the vikings. However the viking settlements were located on the edges of Greenland where the land actually was green and not covered by ice (and still is today.)

Following is a quote from Al Gores new book, "The Assault on Reason".
"We must stop tolerating the rejection and distortion of science. We must insist on an end to the cynical use of pseudo-studies known to be false for the purpose of intentionally clouding the public's ability to discern the truth. Americans in both parties should insist on the re-establishment of respect for the rule of reason".
Would this qualify as a case of bi-polar disorder?
