Obama Stumps for Olympics, May Even Say Something Good About America

Bill Bennett
Like me, I’m sure you’ve been waiting for a long time to hear President Barack Obama say something good about America.
We’ve endured him bashing and trashing our Constitution.
We’ve watched Obama blame America and apologize to the world because America caused the non-existent problem of anthropogenic global warming.
We’ve endured him criticizing America, minimizing the fact that we saved Europe in World War II, and chatting up Europe’s inaction and cowardice while portraying it as bravery.
We’ve watched him embrace Marxist thugs like Hugo Chavez and Daniel Ortega.
We’ve watched President Obama go on Islamic TV and apologize for America.
We’ve endured watching Obama minimize America’s role in bringing down the Berlin Wall and the Soviet empire.
We’ve even endured watching our president bow to a foreign despot king.
It would be good to watch Obama say something good about America, right?
Well, Bill Bennett believes that in order to sell the Olympic committee on Chicago as the city for the next Olympics, Obama will have to go sell America in a good light (See video below).
“One good thing about Barack Obama going to Copenhagen and arguing for the United States and Chicago, is he is going to have to say some really very positive things about the United States while abroad,” said Bennett.
I’m not as hopeful as Bennett.
He could tell them something like, “Look, Chicago is a corrupt den of bribery, thieves and cut-throats, just like many of your countries. You’ll feel right at home there.”
Or perhaps, “Come defeat us and humiliate us at the games on our own soil. It’ll do us good if you bring us down a peg or three. We need that after all the wrongs we’ve committed against the world.”
I really respect Bill Bennett, but I mean, let’s be realistic here.
