Flying Public Air: Are You Ready?
This is a simple little video that illustrates and important and profound truth about socialized health care.
As it points out, claims from liberals that creating a “public option” is just about giving consumers “choice” is pure hogwash. It will put them out of business in short order; no private company–saddled with taxes, regulation, etc.–can long compete with a taxpayer-subsidized system where quality is an afterthought and it’s “CEOs” can simply gouge the taxpayers for more to keep it going.
Pretty soon, Public Air is the only airline still flying…and this is where the fun begins.
At this point, the system is trying to fly everyone, and it cannot do so efficiently, even with massive taxes to support it. There even comes a point where Public Air can’t reasonably gouge the taxpayers for more because they’ll be risking a taxpayer revolt.
So then comes the cutbacks and the rationing.
And the worst news of all: when Public Air is the only option left, you have no choice but to put up with it.
I had the mixed fortune/misfortune of living under a socialized health care system for three years when I lived in England. The quality was pathetic, as were the wait times. None of my British friends (who lived under it their whole lives) had anything good to say about it. Fortunately my sentence eventually came to an end and I returned to heaven-on-earth in the United States.
But if President Obama and his fellow socialists get their way, I’ll be back under that same asinine, inefficient system, but this time here in my own once-free country.
We the people must make it clear to these usurpers that if they insist on forcing this unconstitutional monstrosity on the American people, we will guarantee that they will not be re-elected.
This just might get these socialists to see a bit of reason, even if nothing else will.
