Video: Obama Supporters Praying to Obama

It should be getting more and more apparent to even the marginally enlightened exactly why conservatives often refer to Barack Obama as the Obamessiah and why we frequently refer to his followers as worshippers.

The worshipful, messianic language Obama supporters often use and their adulation over him extends back deep into last year’s campaign season, but even now we are only beginning to realize the true depths to which some human beings were willing to sink in their awe of a fellow human being.

There has been much talk recently about the children’s worship song of Obama, and I saw this morning that there is yet another case of children being led to worship Obama.

Today we learn that community organizers from the Gamaliel National Clergy Caucus have been sending up prayers to the Obamessiah, asking The One to hear them and bless them.

Breitbart.com has a post of the video and the description says this:

The Gamaliel National Clergy Caucus held “a New Orleans style funeral procession as they deliver a casket symbolizing the death of old ways of providing health care and pray for a new day for health care in America.”

The Gamaliel Foundation is the community organizing group that helped sponsor Barack Obama’s initial work in Chicago.

Editor’s note: We’ve updated this post with the longer version of the original event. As you’ll see in the comments and related links there is a debate over what is actually being said. Does the crowd say, “Hear our cry, Obama” and “Deliver us Obama?” Or are they saying “Oh God?” In the longer version the first two repetitions seem to have a distinct “uh” sound at the end that resonates as “Obama.” The later repetitions are a little fuzzier. With dedicated disciples like this, it’s no wonder that a man with little experience and an overtly Marxist background was elected last year to the White House in America.  These people truly look to Barack Obama as a savior capable of lifting them out of the mire.

When the Republican establishment forced their “Democrat-lite” nominee on their base, there was simply no competing with the kind of mindless adulation and religious fervor on the Left.
