Health Care Bill Would Create Health Choices Kommissar

You knew we weren’t done with all the bad news in the socialist’s government takeover of health care, didn’t you?

I know, if you’re a thinking, patriotic American who values freedom and respects the Constitution, you already had more than enough reasons to oppose this monstrous assault on the American way of life.

Yes, I know there’s that little matter about the Constitution not providing any authority for this.

Yeah, I know socialism is a flop everywhere in the world it’s tried throughout history.

Uh huh, I know about the rationing.

I know about the death counseling, too.

I know about the taxpayer funded abortion it would provide.

I even know about the multi-trillion dollar price tag.

But you need to know about the latest reason to be uncovered in this 1,000+ page bill: the establishment of a Health Choices Kommissar.

From CNS News:

The Health Choices Commissioner would establish “the benefits to be made available under Exchange-participating health benefit plans during each plan year,” according to page 84 of the 1,018-page bill. That means the commissioner would determine what benefits the participating insurance companies must offer participating customers in the exchange.

The commissioner would also set rules for insurance companies to participate in the health insurance exchange, and establish criteria for individuals to receive federal subsidies to purchase insurance in the exchange, according to section 142 on page 42 of the legislation.

Further, the commissioner would have the authority to establish “automatic enrollment” of individuals who qualify for the health insurance exchange.

We already have too many czars and kommissars as it is; we don’t need another one to think for us like little idiot children and tell us what to do.  That’s not America, and I won’t even apologize for pointing that out.

This would be yet another un-elected bureaucrat with way too much power (far more than the Constitution grants even the president) to rule over the private market and to rule over the lives of once-free Americans.
