Union Thugs to Defend Socialist Takeover of Health Care

ObamaStrikeNPR is reporting on some union memos posted at the ultra-liberal Huffington Post which indicate the union toughs are offended that the American people aren’t compliantly accepting like European sheep a government takeover of a huge portion of the private economy.

They have apparently seen raucous patriotic Americans at town hall meetings calling their elected representatives to account, and are mad; in their book, only union goons are allowed to intimidate.

AFL-CIO President John Sweeney tells fellow union thugs:

“The principal battleground in the campaign will be town hall meetings and other gatherings with members of Congress in their home districts,” reads the memo. “We want your help to organize major union participation to counter the right-wing “Tea-Party Patriots” who will try to disrupt those meetings, as they’ve been trying to do to meetings for the last month. …

(Remember the hooligans – many of them Republican Congressional staff – who harassed Florida vote counters in 2000? We can’t let that happen again!).”

Yes, these are the “hooligans” who refused to allow Al Gore to steal the properly elected candidate George Bush. The American people were supposed to just roll over and allow them to dimple and hang their way to fraudulent victory for the High Priest of Global Warming, but conservatives had the audacity to resist.

A report from ABC (will miracles never cease?) from a town hall meeting in Maryland reveals Democrat spin “manufactured anger” for the malarkey it is:

There were no lobbyist-funded buses in the parking lot of Mardela Middle and High School on Tuesday evening, and the hundreds of Eastern Maryland residents who packed the school’s auditorium loudly refuted the notion that their anger over the Democrats’ health care reform plans is “manufactured.”

“I went to school in this school,” a man named Bob told me. “I don’t see anyone in this room that isn’t from Mardela Springs right now.”

“We’ve been quiet too long,” said a woman named Joan.

The article goes on to tell how citizens made sure Rep. Frank Kratovil (D-MD) got their pro-American message loud and clear.

By the end of the 90 minute town hall — which Kratovil told the crowd was his fourth interaction with constituents that day — the congressman looked exasperated. He was hounded by jeers all the way out to his car.

He’s feeling the heat, folks, and we need to make sure every time a senator, congressman or one of their staffers shows their face anywhere that we let them know what a raw deal, what an unconstitutional abomination this socialized medicine idea is. They’ve taken it for granted that they could do what they want without regard to people or Constitution, so we’re going to need to speak up so that they unmistakably understand that this won’t fly anymore.

Not to be outdone, AFL-CIO Secretary Treasurer Richard Trumka also issued a call to all union goons:

Every American has the inalienable right to participate in our democratic process. Our politics is passionate, heartfelt and often loud — as was the founding of our nation. But that is not what the corporate-funded mobs are engaging in when they show up to disrupt town halls held by members of Congress.

Major health care reform is closer than ever to passage and it is no secret that special interests want to weaken or block it. These mobs are not there to participate. As their own strategy memo states, they have been sent by their corporate and lobbyist bankrollers to disrupt, heckle and block meaningful debate. This is a desperation move, meant to slow the momentum for change.

Mob rule is not democracy. People have a democratic right to express themselves and our elected leaders have a right to hear from their constituents — not organized thugs whose sole purpose is to shut down the conversation and attempt to scare our leaders into inaction

We call on the insurance companies, the lobbyists and the Republican leaders who are cheering them on to halt these ‘Brooks Brothers Riot’ tactics. Health care is a crucial issue and everyone – on all sides of the issue – deserves to be heard.

I’ve been a part of the Tea Party movement for several months (and a conservative for years), and I didn’t know I was supposed to be receiving a check from a corporation somewhere. I must have a huge lump of back-pay coming to me, because I haven’t been paid a dime and no one else I know in the Tea Party movement has either.

But when you start to learn a little more about what’s in it for the unions, you can understand a little why they’re acting like a junkyard dog protecting a bone: the union elites expect a healthy amount of taxpayer largess through the socialized health care plan.

From the rest of Sweeney’s memo posted at the Boston Globe, they plan:

Leadership meetings with Congressional members on our key issues – a requirement that ALL employers “pay or play,” a robust public health insurance plan to compete with private insurers and drive down health costs, relief for company/union funds providing pre-Medicare retiree coverage, and no taxation of health benefits!

You’ll find this “Reinsurance Program for Retirees” on Page 65 in Section 164 of the House bill.  They’re expecting some loot from Obamacare, and they aren’t about to stand idly by and allow silly things like constitutions, common sense, responsibility or the American people stand in the way of getting what they consider rightfully theirs. How arrogant of the American people to think the money they earned belonged to them and not to the unions!

Thug Treasurer Trumka is right about one thing: mob rule is not democracy, especially when that mob is up to 535 people in Washington who swore to uphold the U.S. Constitution, and 10 seconds after that oath never gave another thought to the Constitution.

Our Constitution forbids this massive intrusion into the free market, this massive assault on American freedom, this massive theft and waste of taxpayer dollars. There is not a shred of constitutional authority for what Obama, Pelosi, Waxman, Reid and others are trying to perpetrate on our country, which makes these socialists guilty of mob rule.

And the American people have a message for the lawless mob in Washington: we’ve had it with your disrespect for the U.S. Constitution, and we’ve had it with your disrespect for us and our freedom. You’ve ignored us and our Constitution for far too long; the party’s over.

If these union thugs are able to round up enough goons to come to town hall meetings and make a stand, they may just find they’ve opened up a can they aren’t ready to deal with. They’re used to opponents who will easily roll over.

Americans proved it 233 years ago, and we’re ready to prove it again: we won’t roll over for thugocracy, nor will we roll over for illegal mob rule from Washington D.C.

Well I guess I am a famous GOON.
I am so sick of all this crap.
I am an NRA Life Member and a mamber of the IBEW also on the AFL/CIO Labor council.
We are not sheep or right or left wing.
Most of the people I know are center of the road God Revearing American Patriots.
Wanting the ability to form a labor union and get a living wage with benifits shall not make me a socialist. Wanting to keep the second amendment shall not make me a right wing nut case.
NO ONE at ALL has adressed the workers who are double insured when employed.
Combined insurance cost for me and my wife per month is OVER $1200 A MONTH EACH PLAN.
    $28800.00 A YEAR with a deductable.
We have no option to opt out either.
If there were a law which allowed us to choose one plan and have the benifits go there it would bank up and be there in unemployed or retired times.
But such is NOT the case.
So this is from one of your big union thugs.
If you think we are sheep look again and maybe in the mirror you may find a sheep.
Have we all been brainwashed by both sides?
We NEED a THIRD PARTY NOW!
WE THE PEOPLE ARE NOT BEING REPRESENTED BY EITHER OF THE TWO ONE WORLDER PARTIES!

These unions meatheads better be careful who they push around. All the nation isn't Chicago and they just may find out first hand where Hoffa is buried.

Now you see how the Unions would implement Card Check. This is why we must stop the Socialization of America. Obama is a thug and he backs the Unions 100% in their heavy handed tactics. He was put in office by a large measure unsing Union funds especially the SIEU. Obama has always proposed having a internal malicia that he could use to enforce his ideas and the Unions are providing it. I ask all you Union members if this is what you pay dues for? If so you are in opposition to most Americans. My motto is becoming "Avoid the Union Label"

I am concerned as to what will happen when the first elderly lady is beaten up or "accidentally shot" by one of Mr. Sweeney's Brownshirts.

    Oh well. Had to happen.

My understanding is that union health care plans will be exempt. THEY don't have a stake in this at all. They are like Congress, they want US to have what they would never take for themselves.

They should be ashamed of themselves.
