Opening events and remarks at the Citizens for Liberty Town Hall and Recess Rally on health care, Rapid City, South Dakota, August 22, 2009.

In this phase of the event, we hear the Black Hills Blend quartet sing a few patriotic numbers including the national anthem. There is also an invocation by Pastor Dale Bartscher.

Citizens for Liberty President Gordon Howie makes introductions of the CFL board. He also identifies several of the South Dakota legislators in attendance.

Introductions of those representing South Dakota’s congressional delegation are made along with information about their invitations.

Ground rules for questions and answers about health care are also laid out to ensure a civil discussion of the issue and to ensure as many questions as possible can be aired.
