Bill Sammon at Fox News reports that, amazingly, the “mainstream” media is treating protests during the Bush Administration differently than those during the Obama Administration:
News outlets that are focusing on the incendiary rhetoric of conservatives outside President Obama’s town hall meeting Tuesday ignored the incendiary rhetoric — and even violence — of liberals outside an appearance by former President George W. Bush in 2002.
When Bush visited Portland, Ore., for a fundraiser, protesters stalked his motorcade, assailed his limousine and stoned a car containing his advisers. Chanting “Bush is a terrorist!”, the demonstrators bullied passers-by, including gay softball players and a wheelchair-bound grandfather with multiple sclerosis.
One protester even brandished a sign that seemed to advocate Bush’s assassination. The man held a large photo of Bush that had been doctored to show a gun barrel pressed against his temple.
“BUSH: WANTED, DEAD OR ALIVE,” read the placard, which had an X over the word “ALIVE.”
Another poster showed Bush’s face with the words: “F— YOU, MOTHERF—ER!”
A third sign urged motorists to “HONK IF YOU HATE BUSH.” A fourth declared: “CHRISTIAN FASCISM,” with a swastika in place of the letter S in each word.
The article goes on to point out that one man had a cup of liquid thrown in his face,
What a contrast in coverage and media reaction to protests.

When you have a bunch of anti-American, malcontented 1960’s-reject hippie dirtbags out to undermine a president showing resolve and determination defeat Americas enemies, “dissent” and lending aid and comfort to America’s enemies was “patriotic,” with the “mainstream” media are sympathetic. They make sure the pig is well perfumed and presented in the best possible light, with dirty spots always airbrushed out of the picture.
When you have a bunch of patriotic, pro-Constitution Americans angry at being lied to, having their Constitution trampled, and their government threatening to take over yet another large segment of the formerly-free American market, planning to meddle in the most personal and important choices and decisions of Americans…well, these are just a bunch of astroturf, mobs, racists, using “scare tactics,” engaging in “screaming matches,” not representative of the national mood, and so on.
And these propaganda masters wonder why they are trusted less by the American people than used car salesmen (sorry to even indirectly associate you used car salesmen with the “mainstream” media)…
(Memo to the American Pravda: fewer and fewer people are relying on you all the time. Keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll eventually be out of business)
