A recent Rasmussen Reports poll finds that, despite the bull being peddled by President Obama and his liberal minions on television and at town halls across America, the American people get it: 57% oppose single-payer health care and only 32% support it. Fifty-two percent also believe such a system will diminish quality.

Rep. Gene Green (D-TX) will hold town hall meetings this August recess, but he says he will require his serfs, er, constituents to show their identification papers before they will be allowed an audience with His Lordship. This will send the exact opposite of the message liberals want to portray right now.

In a stunning new analysis, we find that the “mainstream” media is treating protests during the Bush Administration differently than those during the Obama Administration. When anti-American malcontents tried to undermine our wartime president and lend aid and comfort to America’s enemies, that was “patriotic.” Now, standing against assaults on the U.S. Constitution and American freedom are “scare tactics” by “astroturf mobs.” Surprised?

But a rare video clip seems to show a blonde woman just below and to the left of the girl who seems to be mouthing the words little Julia is speaking. Is this more smoke and mirrors from Obama’s “unscripted” health care drama?

Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin spoke at the Midwest Rural Assembly in Sioux Falls yesterday, but this event didn’t seem to be on anyone’s radar. Herseth essentially said she doesn’t support current efforts to socialize health care in America. She should publicize her speaking engagements since she apparently seems to be on the side of the American people in this one. She could be a rare congress-person to be greeted with cheers instead of jeers.

Cardin held another meeting in Towson, Maryland yesterday, and the results were even more boisterous. The American people are livid at this unconstitutional assault on their freedoms and the free market.

Liberals claim Americans upset at losing their freedom and their control over their health care decisions are a “mob.” If the protesters are the “mob” who brought the thugs? Obama and his union thugs are determined to silence patriotic Americans to pave the way for their glorious revolution.

Candidate Obama promised openness and transparency in his administration. Candidate Obama promised to have the American people involved and enlisted in any changes to our health care system. So why has President Obama been making closed-door deals with lobbyists and other groups, tried to shove socialized health care down the American people’s throats, rejected our objections by “punching back twice as hard,” and called out the union thugs on free Americans?

Some claim President Obama’s diminishing poll numbers and falling support for his socialist programs is because he just hasn’t communicated well with the American people. Their problem is not that President Obama has not communicated. Their problem is that he has. We’ve got the message and we don’t want it.

South Dakota Governor Mike Rounds points to another example of why we don’t want to force government health care on America: Indian Health Service. One look at the government’s track record for running health care should scare any sane American away from expanding this abomination to all Americans.

One of the selling points for the government takeover of health care is the idea that preventative care can save money. However, CBO Director Douglas W. Elmendorf’s assessment finds that–like most of what liberals are saying to sell socialized medicine–it will actually end up costing the taxpayers more.

Rep. John Dingell (D-MI) tried to peddle government health care lies in Romulus, Michigan, but the people weren’t having it. The socialists running our country have turned up the heat on the boiling frog too quickly, and now the American people are alerted to the dangers posed by this government takeover of health care. And they won’t stand for it.

While liberals whine about “un-American” speech by Americans angry over the unconstitutional government takeover of health care, the Left is busy gearing up the thuggery by unions and ACORN nuts to ensure dissent is truly silenced.

We have apparently reached the day when school officials are criminally prosecuted for a prayer over a meal in America–a nation founded by Christians on Christian principles. Two Pace High School administrators are facing criminal contempt charges over a prayer offered at a luncheon.

In addition to huge costs and loss of freedom, there are plenty of other reasons to fear the proposed government takeover of health care. The groundwork for government-promoted euthanasia is laid in HR 3200, and the previous comments and policy positions of those pushing this bill leave no reasonable doubt that they measure human life in terms of utility and maintenance cost.
