Obama & Friends: As the Propaganda Flows the Road Gets Slicker than Slime
President Obama and friends are hot on the email campaign trail asking for donations and seeking support for what Obama wants, especially his particular desires for health care reform. And then, of course, if any don’t agree with his specific plan and proposals, they must be part of the riot squad “organized” by right wing extremists or others, who will supposedly “stop at nothing to block reform.”
How ironic then is it that the only emails I have received suggesting to organize and overwhelm the congressmen and women, while attempting to create a desperation that this bill must pass immediately or it will be forever blocked or some such thing, comes from Obama & Club? How ironic indeed!
No one who actually knows me has ever accused me of being a right wing extremist, but Obama & Friends are giving me reason to reconsider joining that wing of it all, if being one means being responsible and not rushing a defective bill through that could so drastically change not only individual lives, but society and our world as a whole. What’s the rush? Is there something that someone is trying to sneak through?
How often did we hear Obama speak of his goal for transparency? If that was, and is, truly his goal, why doesn’t he want us all to have a chance to sit down and thoroughly go through the proposed bill and discuss it, even if it is via a trusted surrogate? Why are we attacked for questioning the bill and rush to pass it? Why must we simply take Obama & Friends’ word for it that it is what is best for us, as though we have no clue?

Obama preached of transparency, yet he has apparently failed to show the birth certificate that would remove all doubt that he was born in Kenya. This doesn’t fall under his transparency rule? We are simply to take his word for it? Why?
Is the health care reform bill likewise, with no transparency and no proof that what we are told we are getting is what we are actually getting? We are simply to take Obama’s word for it? No questions allowed? No questioning allowed, lest the one who dares question be painted irrational, uninformed, an extremist with a personal agenda? Or some such description designed to make others distrust them and therefore not receptive to anything the person might bring up or be able to prove thereafter? One can only wonder and wonder I do!
I can’t speak for the rest of those who are leery of this proposed health care reform bill, but as for myself, my questions and objections are as a result of the information that came from Obama & Club — not from their opposition. Therefore, their argument is proven invalid with me alone, unless, of course, they are suggesting they are the ones that will stop at nothing to block progress.
The propaganda and attempt to across the board create distrust of, and anger towards, anyone opposing, or even questioning, Obama’s pet health care reform bill is beyond belief. This is the change people voted for?
Propaganda isn’t a campaign to sell the truth. It is slime and ill-will and a distortion of the facts. It creates followers from fear, anger, desperation and like negative emotions. It is a slime and as it flows, the road will get slicker and slicker.
The question becomes: will we slide in the slime to a place we never intended to be and left to never have chance to stand firm again? Or will we refuse to go there, and instead demand the complete truth, facts and honesty in debate of bills affecting us that we, as citizens of the United States of America, deserve?
What will we do? That is definitely the question!
