The Oministration’s attempt to silence dissent is chilling. The San Francisco limousine-liberals led by the multi-millionaire Nancy Pelosi claim the protesters are carrying swastikas clearly trying to label them Nazis without being so crass as to use the word.
Do you think if there were pictures of any of these protesters carrying Nazi flags the Poodle Press would’ve missed the chance to loop it continuously? The only demonstrator shown with a swastika was a person with a sign that showed one in a red circle with a line through it, which everyone knows is the international symbol for “No.” And in this instance, for “N Thanks. You can take these tactics back to the union hall or city hall, but not in my country you don’t.”
The man who has a million-dollar fund-raiser headlined by the Commander-O-Chief when he has no opponent refuses to hold a public meeting to discuss Obamacare saying those citizens voicing their concern over the greatest power-grab in American history have run out of ideas and lost their manners Mr. Reid, perhaps the long suffering, long silent American citizens have been inspired by this progressive revolution to turn off the tube, get off the couch and demand their elected representatives listen to them.
And what does our glorious leader have to say? Is he defying those in his own party attempting to squash dissent, standing up for the commoners and against the House of Lords? After asking people to report to the White House website anything they hear in emails or casual conversations about Obamacare that’s “fishy” he said, “I don’t want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking” blaming the victims of government’s over-the-top intrusion into their lives for the crime. Later one of his consigliere, deputy chief of staff Jim Messina, told Obamacrat legislators who’re afraid to face their constituents, “If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard.”
In Texas, a town hall meeting was jammed by physicians who wanted an opportunity to express their opposition to Obamacare. After listening to the doctor’s remarks Congressman Kevin Brady (R-TX) concluded, “The bottom line is that doctors don’t want socialized medicine — another flawed health care system like Medicare. They don’t believe it will lower the costs or improve quality. Medicare is already going bankrupt and (is) not quality care. It also shifts medical costs onto other paying customers. It needs to be fixed first.”
If the protesters are the “mob” who brought the thugs? People, including news reporters, are being arrested for taking pictures and for handing out flyers. Using the arrests as a reason to avoid facing their constituents, some Obamacrats like Senator Claire McCaskill have begun cancelling their scheduled meetings citing a fear of violence.
Protests are flaring nationwide, from Michigan where Representative Dingle tried to defend Obabmacare to the jeers of an overflow audience, to Colorado where Speaker Pelosi was greeted with shouts of “We have health care now!” In South Carolina a man who shouted “There’s no way, shape or form we need to have a national health care system. No! Nothing! None! It’s got to stop now,” and received sustained applause.
The Chicago thugocracy opened a branch office on the Potomac but the Potomac isn’t the Tiber. There may be parallels but this is America not Rome. We fell asleep and allowed a group of statists to occupy the hallowed halls of freedom but we’re awake now and we’ll not go quietly into that dark night.
There are many feeling like Neo in the Matrix. We’ve suddenly realized the Pleasantville we’ve been living in is really the Truman Show and that while we snoozed on the couch a gang of tin horn Chavez wannabes came in the backdoor and are trying to convince Columbia she’s the Material Girl. Like Rip Van Winkle it’s time to rise from our slumber and take a cue from Howard, “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore!”
Education is the key. There’re libraries everywhere. Our leaders have tried to dumb us down into the lumpenproletariat they’ve envisioned us to be so we must teach ourselves. Start with Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky. This is the playbook used where the acorn hasn’t fallen far from the tree. If fiction is your thing read 1984, A Brave New World, Animal Farm, and It Can’t Happen Here. These should inspire you to read such things as The Road to Serfdom by Hayek, Liberal Fascism by Goldberg and of course the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
Now is the time to stand up and be counted. Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country which should be more than a typing exercise: it should be a word to the wise and a caution to the tyrant.
