Govt Help Needed Figuring Out Masculinity, Femininity
The new Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee’s legislation is intended to add to society’s confusion about men and women and proper sexual behavior.
According to CNS News, it requires the Department of Health to develop “standards of measuring gender”…apparently because a quick look between a person’s legs is too difficult.
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is required by the proposed law — The Affordable Health Choices Act,which was voted out of committee on July 15 — to create a database within one year of the law’s enactment that will include detailed information about those who sign up for government-run or supported health care programs, including their race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, language and disabilities.
The proposed law states that the database can use the Office of Management and Budget “standards for race and ethnicity measures.”
But for the collection of “gender” data, instead of using the categories “male” and “female,” the legislation calls for “developing standards for the measurement of gender.”
The language is found on page 410 and 411 of the 615 page document under SEC. 332: Understanding Health Disparities: Data Collection and Analysis.
The legislation says that the purpose of the database is to “detect and monitor trends in health disparities” at “federal and state levels.”
Ignoring for a moment the privacy concerns of having Big Brother maintaining a database on you, what’s all this hand-wringing and obfuscation over whether you’re a male or a female?
Seriously, what’s wrong with the traditional method of determining gender? You know, the one usually used by the doctor when he pulls the baby from the mother’s birth canal, holds up the child and looks between it’s legs? You know, the one which used to be sufficient to tell us whether we were dealing with a male or a female?
Oh, I forgot. That obsolete standard doesn’t allow enough room to coddle and placate the disturbed, the disoriented, and the rebellious among us. It expects people to act like God created them to be. How silly of me to expect normality.
Our culture has thoroughly gone insane…and the inmates are running the asylum.
Isn’t it time the sane people, the grownups, took back control of our country?
