Crowd Video from Rapid City Independence Day Tea Party

20090704_IndependenceDayTeaParty_012It was heart warming on Saturday July 4 to see hundreds of patriots come out on their holiday to take a stand for their country and their freedom, and to send a message to the socialists in Washington: America is our country, and you are now allowed to twist it into a socialist cesspool of oppression.

As the introduction to Lloyd Marcus’s video of the Independence Day Tea Party Anthem says,  ”Protest is not in your nature” for conservatives.  We don’t want to cause a bunch of trouble.  We don’t want to constantly rock the boat.  We want to just be left the hell alone to raise our families and live our lives as we choose.  We don’t want someone doing our thinking and our deciding for us and expect others to respect that.

But our beloved nation has gone so far off course, even the quiet, respectful average American can be silent no more–not and have a hope of preserving the nation and the way of life we so cherish.

So we came out April 15.  We came out July 4.  And we will continue to come out.  We will continue to come out regularly until the socialists in Washington get the message: leave our country and our way of life alone.  And we’ll come out in the next election to remove the socialist usurpers from office if they don’t listen.  And we’ll come out again in 2012, and however long it takes to restore the Constitution and limited government to the land of the free and the home of the brave.
