Scientist: People Being Conned on Emissions Bill

j04393291The list of scientists who just aren’t worshipping at the same temple as Al Gore keeps on growing.

More than 31,000 American scientists have signed onto the Oregon Petition (91 of them here in South Dakota) stating they just aren’t buying the Gore brand of environmental Koolaid, and scientists are continually coming out across the world, taking the hot air out of the argument that human activity is causing earth to warm up.

Professor Bob Carter, adjunct professorial fellow at the Marine Geophysical Laboratory in Australia, may be the latest.

From The Advertiser:

He said Australians were being conned, as the bill was aimed at carbon dioxide rather than carbon, and carbon dioxide was not a pollutant.

Professor Carter said the public should have access to balanced views on climate change.

Twenty years of intensive research and great expenditure had produced no compelling evidence that humans have had a significant effect on climate.

Oh, but we can’t wait until science proves it, socialists tell us. We have to act now to torpedo our economies, they tell us, or it will be too late.

More from Professor Carter:

He said the use of the term “carbon dioxide’’ to indicate a pollutant was not correct in language, logic or science.

And “climate change’’ was a tautology, as the climate changed continually.

This crazy theory doesn’t even pass the smell test, much less the test of scientific scrutiny.

Evidence shows drastic climate change (far more drastic than we currently face) going back thousands of years.  Other planets like Mars and Jupiter are also warming…but we’re supposed to believe that while their climate change is natural, it’s those evil SUVs here on Earth. And, of course, that flaming star burning at 11,000 degrees in the center of our solar system couldn’t possibly have anything to do with temperatures on earth–what a nutty idea!

No wonder even the courts are starting to realize that faith in anthropogenic global warming is far more religion than science.

If socialists want to place their faith in that unsound idea, that’s there prerogative as free individuals.  But they are NOT entitled to stick Americans with a 40% increase in their electric bills to coerce a tithe to their religion.
