Red State Rockers New Song: No Socialism
This isn’t really my kind of music (I’m more of a Foreigner, Def Leppard, Scorpions, Bob Seger type), but like with a friend of mine who’s a Christian rapper (rap definitely isn’t my thing), I appreciate the lyrics and the sentiment. Even if it wasn’t for the lyrics, this sounds a lot better than most of what passes itself off as music today.
These guys are the Red State Rockers, what may be the first conservative rock band in the U.S., and this is their song “No Socialism,”
According to the information on YouTube:
Based in Miami, the group was formed out of a revelation at the Tea Parties in April of 2009. The two founding members are brothers and small business owners, Mark (songwriter/bassist) and David Watson (lead vocals/drums). Both own and operate DM Records, a fifteen-year-old independent record label. We were really inspired watching the protesters at all the Tea Parties back in April. We started writing and recording songs soon after that event, as our way of making a statement, states Mark.
It’s wonderful seeing Americans from all walks of life coming together to take a stand against the onslaught of socialism that is tearing at our country right now. We must all bring whatever talents and energy we have together if we are going to repair the damage and restore our country to it’s path of greatness
Our country was specifically designed to operate on principles that are almost exactly the opposite of socialistic principles. Our country cannot operate under socialism and still be the America we and generations before have loved. Our country cannot embrace socialism and maintain the freedom and prosperity we have known; in fact, no nation can do so indefinitely.
