Obama’s Health Care Scheme: Good for Thee, Not for Me
According to ABC News, President Barack Obama “struggled” to make the debacle that is government health care sound more palatable than it actually is.
During the All Barack Channel (ABC) socialized medicine infomercial, a neurologist asked the president whether he would force his own family to live under the mediocre-to-poor health care that always comes from government systems.
Dr. Orrin Devinsky, a neurologist and researcher at the New York University Langone Medical Center, said that elites often propose health care solutions that limit options for the general public, secure in the knowledge that if they or their loves ones get sick, they will be able to afford the best care available, even if it’s not provided by insurance.
Devinsky asked the president pointedly if he would be willing to promise that he wouldn’t seek such extraordinary help for his wife or daughters if they became sick and the public plan he’s proposing limited the tests or treatment they can get.
The president refused to make such a pledge, though he allowed that if “it’s my family member, if it’s my wife, if it’s my children, if it’s my grandmother, I always want them to get the very best care.
No kidding! But you’re okay with it if the little people don’t get “the very best care,” and are forced to settle for the turd that is government health care?
(I’m sorry if my graphic language offends you, but I’ve lived under government health care in another country for several years–I know first hand it’s nothing but a turd, and language less graphical just doesn’t do justice to how bad this abomination stinks)
The American people–especially the ones under the spell of the seductions of socialism–should sit up and take note of this elitist attitude. It’s the same one we always see in Marxist schemes like this. It’s the same one we saw in George Orwell’s “Animal Farm” where the pigs (who were running the show) eventually informed the rest of the animals that “All animals are equal. But some animals are more equal than others.”
This whole socialized medicine scheme is contemptuous of the U.S. Constitution and the American way of life, and thanks to President Obama’s grudgingly honest admission here, that truth is now more transparent.
