Happy Father’s Day!
Except for mothers, your role is the most important one on our planet. In fact, mothers and fathers are of equal importance, and only a mother can adequately fulfill a mother’s role, and only a father can fulfill a father’s role.
Today is the day we celebrate our fathers and the important role they play in the life of a child.
Those of us who have been fortunate enough to have our fathers in our lives during our entire childhood are a dying breed, and we should be grateful.
But if you were not so fortunate, you’re not alone. Focus on the Family President and CEO Jim Daly ended up losing both his parents. His mother died, and then his alcoholic father left him and his siblings to fend for themselves. He knows how important fatherhood is.
I am grateful my family is intact. And my most treasured Father’s Day gifts are the ones like you see above: hand-made expressions of love from my children. There can be no higher award, compliment or expression of love than something like this!
