Tea Partying in Rapid City Today
I’ll be at the Rapid City Tax Day Tea Party from start to finish and then some today. I hope to see you there, but whether you can come or not, be sure to come back to Dakota Voice this afternoon to see the pictures and videos I’ll be uploading.
I’m also joining some 490 or more “Citizen Reporters” across the country in doing some coverage for Pajamas TV, so check there for material as well.
To anyone looking at the last minute for information on the Rapid City, it’s going to be from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in Memorial Park. Attenders should park somewhere safe (like the Civic Center parking lot) and walk through the park to the intersection of Omaha Street and 5th Street. Bring your on-message sign and wave it there for passing cars! At about 11:45 or so, we’ll walk over to the Bandshell there in Memorial Park where there will be some songs and speakers.
You can also find information on the Sioux Falls Tea Party here. According to the site, it’s to be at Terrace Park by Covell Lake from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm.
The Spearfish Tea Party also has information at the national Tax Day Tea Party site. Bill Nachatilo is heading up the Spearfish party which will be held on the lawn in front of the Post Office from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
According to the National TEA Party Day website, associated with AFA, there are Tea Parties scheduled in other South Dakota cities such as Barnard, Mitchell, Tea and Yankton. I don’t have any first hand information on them, so click on the email links there for more information.
If you’re working, stop by over lunch! If you homeschool, bring the kids down for a great lesson in civics and citizenship! Don’t miss this historic day to join with citizens like yourself in hundreds of cities across America and make a difference!
It’s time for patriotic Americans to tell Washington D.C.: we’ve had enough of your irresponsible leadership!!! Time to get back to the Constitution and to sanity!
