RE: Northern Hills Patriots TEA PARTY

The newly formed Northern Hills Patriots has organized a peaceful TEA PARTY to be held Wednesday April 15, 2009 on the lawn of the US POST OFFICE in Spearfish. The rally begins at 11:30 and ends at 1:00 PM. The public, including Spearfish, Belle Fourche, Whitewood, Deadwood, Lead and surrounding communities are encouraged to attend.

The Northern Hills Patriots has been formed by a group of people who are looking at the core values of the citizenry of the United States and questioning the direction of the current government plan. It is a non-partisan action group discussing strategies to reach out to unresponsive legislators, stage peaceful rallies, and to inform the public about the realities of what is taking place in the chambers of our Congress.

‘TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION’ is the theme of the upcoming ‘Tea Party Rally” being organized by the group to be held April 15. We want to let the federal government know we do not want higher taxes because they want to spend our money on pork and pet products.

The group has speakers from several generations to share their concerns about the present non-representing representatives and the course of action congress is taking at present. Discussion of lost freedoms will also be voiced.

There are going to be thousands of “Tea Parties” held across America on tax day (April 15th) because many Americans feel that our leaders are not listening to them. These rallies are being held to express concern for the rabid spending agenda.

This group, Northern Hills Patriots, plans to continue activities beyond the tax day rallies, by holding meetings where discussions and viable strategies will make it an action group, rather than just a forum for ideological views. The rallying call is to ‘Do something – GET OFF THE COUCH!”

All persons concerned by the increasing number of lost freedoms and the debt placed upon the shoulders of our children’s children’s children, are invited to attend. The group would like to rally as many people as possible to educate and make an effort to be heard and affect some change in attitude. We stand as American citizens, and the government works for us!

The rally is being held at the Spearfish branch of the US Post Office on North Main and Yankee. Please do not park in the Post Office parking lot. Parking for the event is down Yankee street and behind the new Rec building. Bring signs (please keep them clean).
