Newt Gingrich on Protest Coverage and Media Bias
Good point here by Newt Gingrich.
When comparing the media coverage of the infantile anti-capitalist rabble in London over the G20 meeting, versus the near-non-existent media coverage of the Tea Party protests going on across the nation already, Gingrich said this:
“I got a note from a friend of mine in Orlando who pointed out there were more people at a taxpayer tea party in Orlando a week ago then there are in London, they just didn’t get any coverage out of the media.”
Not to say they couldn’t do it, but the Tax Day Tea Parties scheduled for April 15 in 700 or more (some estimates say 1,600) cities across the country will be a little hard for the liberal, er, “mainstream” media to ignore.
There are Tax Day Tea Parties scheduled in five South Dakota cities that I know of so far: Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Spearfish, Tea and Yankton.
The Rapid City group has another planning meeting scheduled for Wednesday April 8 at 11:45 am at Godfather’s Pizza on Campbell Street. The Rapid City Tax Day Tea Party will take place 11:30 am – 1:00 pm on April 15 in Memorial Park near the intersection of Omaha Street and 5th Street, and will move over to the Bandshell to hear some speakers.
Bill Nachatilo, organizer of the Spearfish Tax Day Tea Party, tells me his group will be meeting again Monday April 6 at 7:00 pm at the City Library Conference Room in the City Hall; they are planning their Tea Party to take place in front of City Hall on April 15.
The “mainstream” media wants everyone to think all is sweetness and roses with King Obama and his merry band of Congressional Robbers in charge…but they will all find out on April 15 that it is not.
