Britain Kowtows to Islam and Political Correctness

It’s sad what a pathetic pile of cowardice the once proud British nation has become.

Fox News reports that when Dutch parlaimentarian Geert Wilders arrived in the UK, the British Home Office turned him away for fear he might upset Muslims in Britain.

The letter the British government gave him says

your presense in the UK would pose a genuine, present an sufficiently serious threat to one of the fundamental interest of society. The Secretary of State is satisfied that you statements about Muslims and their beliefs, as expressed in your film Fitna and elsewhere, would threaten community harmony and therefore public security in the UK.

The British government seems unconcerned about the millions of Muslims within their borders, many of whom ascribe to militant Islam that demands conversion of all infidels…or death.

Who is the greater threat–Wilders or radical Islamists?  I think the answer is obvious…as is the conclusion that the British government chose (a) appeasement of evil over  (b) freedom and intellectual honesty.

Lest my British friends think my criticism is high and mighty, I readily acknowledge and lament that the United States has already been far too soft on radical Islam, and we stand on the brink of eagerly following Great Britain down the dark road of appeasement.
