A Serial Killers Warnings about Pornography

screengrab178 The evening before his execution 20 years ago, Bundy told Dr. James Dobson how violent pornography had laid the foundation for his crimes.

On the morning of Jan. 24, 1989, serial-killer Ted Bundy was executed for killing a 12-year-old girl. He also confessed to the murders of dozens more women and girls. The evening before, Bundy granted an exclusive interview to Dr. James Dobson. Bundy said Dr. Dobson was the only person he trusted to accurately convey how violent pornography had laid the foundation for his coast-to-coast killing spree.

Dr. Dobson had been a member of U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese’s Commission on Pornography

Now, 20 years later, Focus on the Family is re-airing parts of that interview to renew Ted Bundy’s dire warnings about pornography.

Here is a link to additional excerpts of the interview.

A correlation between “pornography” and a sexual sociopath is not news. If Ted Bundy lived in the 15th century, the view of a women’s ankle, it may have triggered a similar response. For Dobson, to take the self-analysis, anecdotal evidence, of one single sociopath, and declare that there is a cause and effect, does not meet the minimum requirements of scientific research.
  • In my experience, when people want to justify an immoral behavior, nothing meets the "minimum requirements of scientific research" necessary to alert them to a danger.

This is like asking Charles Manson to explain the dangers of listening to The Beatles.
  • He would be in a unique position to fully understand the dangers and how the pathology develops.

Ted Bundy was a psychopath. He told Dobson exactly what Dobson wanted to hear. When he gave this interview is was desperately trying to kepp himself alive ( by confessing to other crimes ) and trying to keep himself in the public eye ( a position he so craved ) by giving ridiculous interviews like this.

And James Dobson fell for it hook, line and sinker.

And did I mention Ted Bundy was a psychopath with no credibility to speak on any subject to regular folks in any way what so ever.?
