THE WORLD HAS GONE MAD
(1/1/2007)
A New Year, a New Hope
Waking up in 2007, I found myself full of hope! Cures have been found for so many diseases, why not for the madness of the world? It is possible. It is only when we think it not, that sanity and compassion becomes unattainable. In that I am sure! This past year, the fires were ignited under the passive good people, who thought they were either not needed in the fight to save humanity or that they had nothing of value to offer the effort. Some learned that every person and every vote and every effort does make a difference. Even when one loses on the ballot, the show of (or lack thereof) support speaks loudly. It tells a story all on its own. We only need to listen to see where our society rests within the realm of things. Seeing the people wake up has indeed given me hope! The holocaust snuck up on many because they had no clue it could result in the devastation that it did. There was a time they were somewhat helpless to rise up and take their world back, but as the awareness grew, so did the effort. In the end, the evil was brought down and the goodness rose up to embrace its people. That is what my hope is for this our world. A hope that we have awaken and that we shall rise up and take back our world in all the goodness we can muster. I'm not saying the world is perfect or that it could ever be. However, the striving to make it so will at least hopefully get us as close as humanly possible. And oh, what a world that could be. It isn't a silly dream. It is one of hope. It's reasonable to hope. After all, it was someone's hope that has taken us down the negative path. So, how can we think that our positive hopes can't likewise take us back up the path? Evil isn't more powerful. It's hosts are merely more determined and don't give up as easily as many of those with the hopeful dreams. After all, some of those with hopeful dreams seem to feel theirs are only hopes that can come true in a story book setting. They embrace the phrase, "In an ideal world maybe, but this is not an ideal world," as though that is gospel. It is not! Never has been and never will. This world is what we -- as a society -- make it or allow it to be! And we must remember that it is in ignorance, blind acceptance, submission and apathy that we condemn our society to the destruction and servitude of hell here on earth. On the bright side of it all, last year has been anything but submission, apathy and blind acceptance, with people fiercely looking for answers and debating in so many arenas. Seeing the fire and passion grow within the average citizen this past year over the issues and direction society is headed, I can't help but feel we have already made great strives in turning this world back around. I look forward to the success I believe is on the horizon when humanity, justice, compassion, reason and common sense return to the fold and once again become a vital part of our society. Its a new year and a new hope! Happy New Year & Many Blessings!
